As a departmental manager I find there are so many reports, documents, exams analyses, lesson observations, meetings, etc., that my feet don't usually touch the ground in September. (Well, at least I don't have to clean my shoes!)
I never know what the new year is going to throw at me, and, no matter how well I plan for la rentrée, there is always some induhvidual around to throw a spanner in the works and disrupt my best laid plans.
I think this year is going to be different. I am more relaxed, enjoying my work, have made some great contacts, and it's still September.
